However, as high-tech innovations continue to advance and branch-level cash handling volumes steadily decline, this management model has gradually revealed its inefficiencies, prompting the banking industry to urgently explore a new cash-management approach. Consequently, intelligent business vaults have increasingly attracted attention within the sector. At the same time, the promulgation and implementation of the “Bank Security Prevention Requirements” have provided policy support for establishing intelligent business vaults at branch locations to securely store end-of-day cash cassettes.

By taking into account the specific conditions of bank operating premises, it has developed a digital risk-control and security management system for branch vaults.

The intelligent vault comprises the vault structure, a containment isolation chamber, a monitoring and alarm system, and a remote system platform, all designed for convenient operation. The vault structure and containment isolation chamber comply with the Ministry of Public Security’s new GA38-2021 Smart Security Standard. In addition, the containment isolation chamber is equipped with an access control system and environmental monitoring capabilities, enabling multi-system integration and coordinated operation. The monitoring and alarm system incorporates an intelligent internal control system for managing withdrawal boxes as well as an operations and maintenance management system; intrusion events and emergencies are instantly uploaded to the O&M management platform, triggering flashing lights and audible alerts while simultaneously activating ultrasonic deterrents in the vault area. The remote system platform can be seamlessly linked in real time with branch vaults and live video feeds from branch premises, featuring functions such as log management, location tracking, data visualization, video playback, remote authorization, voice broadcasting, and a role-based access control system, with the capability to expand or integrate additional functionalities as needed.

The intelligent vault system is applicable to a wide range of bank branches, providing secure on-site storage for critical assets such as cash, vouchers, and securities, while enabling remote monitoring and control. This fundamentally addresses numerous challenges currently faced by bank branches, including relatively high cash-in-transit costs, the heavy workload and time-consuming nature of handover procedures for frontline staff involved in cash escort duties, and the risk of damage or loss due to movement and shaking of valuables stored in cash boxes.
