Explosion-proof doors are primarily used at the intake shafts of mines. In the event of an underground explosion, the resulting shock wave will forcefully propel the door outward, thereby releasing and mitigating the impact of the shock wave in the inclined airshaft.
Explosion-proof doors are primarily used at the intake shafts of mines. In the event of an underground explosion, the resulting shock wave will forcefully propel the door outward, thereby releasing and mitigating the impact of the shock wave in the inclined airshaft.

During the installation of the explosion-proof door for the inclined shaft, it shall be installed in accordance with the prescribed installation procedures, ensuring that the door is plumb and level after installation and operates smoothly. Subsequently, the explosion-proof door shall be closed, and Shandong Zhongmei shall place the stop bars on the fixed brackets on both sides of the door frame, then backfill the area beneath the outer door with sand, gravel, or soil to a depth of 10 centimeters.
First, measure and verify the width and height of the tunnel entrance to ensure that the explosion-proof door—complete with its embedded fittings—can be fully accommodated. Lay the two door leaves flat on the ground, align and secure the sealing rubber gasket between them, and then bolt the doors together to prepare them for installation. Adjust the door’s orientation so that it can only open outward, and then simultaneously lift both door leaves upright into position at the shaft opening. Once properly aligned, use wooden shims or braces to securely hold the entire door assembly in place.
Begin bricklaying and securing the wall according to the wellhead design. Once the wall has fully set, close the explosion-proof door, place the stop bars on the mounting brackets on both sides of the door frame, and backfill the area beneath the outer door with sand, gravel, or soil to a depth of 10 centimeters. The door can then be put into normal service.
Any areas where rust-preventive coating has peeled off or been knocked away shall be promptly recoated. If the sealing rubber strips are damaged or have delaminated, they shall be replaced or re-adhered without delay; the recommended replacement interval for sealing strips is approximately every two years. Any rust on the door hinge pivot points shall be thoroughly cleaned and then re-lubricated.
