　With the rapid development of the economy and society, theft prevention has become a pressing social issue. In particular, financial institutions and many enterprises and public institutions maintain a safe deposit vault to facilitate the efficient management of funds. The following short series will walk you through the installation steps for safe deposit vault doors.

 

　　I. Product Installation Steps

 

　　1. Based on the dimensions of the wall opening for the vault door installation, construct an appropriately sized door opening and embed connecting reinforcing bars. (See the drawing for the reserved wall opening and embedded connecting reinforcing bars.)

 

　　2. Use lifting equipment to position the vault door at the doorway, adjust it so that its vertical and horizontal deviations do not exceed 2 mm, and securely shim it with steel plates.

 

　　3. Weld the safe door frame bracing strips using the reserved reinforcing bars.

 

　　4. Perform opening and closing adjustments to ensure the vault door leaf and lock open freely, with reliable stopping upon operation.

 

　　5. Fill and smooth the gap between the door frame and the wall with cement mortar.

 

　　Methods for Opening and Closing the Vault Door

 

　　Activation steps:

 

　　1. Open all combination locks according to the opening method.

 

　　2. Turn the handwheel to operate the door lock actuator, disengage the latch from the door frame, and pull outward to open the door.

 

　　Shutdown procedure:

 

　　1. If a timer lock is present, adjust the timer lock’s delay time.

 

　　2. Turn the handwheel to operate the door lock actuator, causing the latch to engage and lock the door.

 

　　3. Lock the combination lock and immediately unlock it.

 

　　Attachment: Instructions for Using the Mechanical Combination Lock:

 

　　Refer to the diagram: assume the locked-out range for the assembled combination lock is 0 to 20. Each lock has a different locked-out range when in use, which is specified individually at the factory.

 

　　1. “Opening the Vault Door Using the Activation Symbol”

 

　　If the factory default combination of the combination lock is 50, turn the dial to the left until the number 50 passes the open indicator four times and aligns with it. Then turn the dial to the right until it stops. At this point, the lock bolt will retract, and the safe door can be opened.

 

　　Open the vault door using any password, such as 10-20-30.

 

　　Turn the dial to the left at least four full rotations to clear the original password and set the new password.

 

　　Turn the dial to the left until the first digit of the combination, 10, passes the starting mark three times, then stops on the mark on the fourth pass.

 

　　Turn the dial to the right until the second code digit, 20, passes the starting mark twice, then stop on the mark for the third time.

 

　　Turn the dial to the left until the third digit of the combination, 30, aligns with the notch; record this as one turn, then stop precisely on the mark for the second turn.

 

　　Turn the dial to the right until the lock opens (do not turn the dial too far to the right). When locking the combination lock, turn the dial counterclockwise at least four full turns.

 

　　2. “Using Tags to Change Passwords”

 

　　To change your password, you must know the original password and update the encryption key.

 

　　Before changing the password, open the safe door using the original password 10-20-30. Then, following the opening procedure described above, use the code correction mark to adjust the original password 10-20-30, ensuring that the dial stops at the last digit of the password, which is 30.

 

　　Insert the combination-change key into the keyhole on the back. If the key does not go in, the current combination is incorrect. Repeat the process and try again. Turn the combination-change key to the right until it stops (about a quarter turn), and leave the key in the lock. Choose a new combination, such as 40-50-60. Pay special attention to the last digit of the combination; do not select any number between 0 and 20 (the restricted range).

 

　　Turn the dial to the left until the digit “40” passes the changeover mark three times; on the fourth pass, it will stop precisely at the changeover mark.

 

　　Turn the dial to the right until the digit “50” passes the two code-change marks and, on the third pass, comes to a precise stop at the code-change mark.

 

　　Turn the dial to the left until the digit “60” passes the changeover mark and then stops precisely on the mark for the second time.

 

　　Turn the code-change key to the left to stop, then take the key.

 

　　Please remember: After changing the new password (e.g., 40-50-60), do not immediately close and lock the safe. Instead, repeatedly open the safe door using the new combination marked for opening, and make sure you can unlock the combination lock before closing and locking the safe.

 

　　II. Prohibited Areas for Combination Locks

 

　　The factory serial number is off-limits for the vault door’s combination lock:

　　The factory default password for the safe’s combination lock is 0 or 50.

 

　　IV. Maintenance and Repair

 

　　1. Lubrication: Apply lubricant annually to moving components such as heavy-duty hinges and door-lock mechanisms.

 

　　2. Maintenance: Assign dedicated personnel to conduct unscheduled inspections of moving parts; address any looseness or abnormal wear promptly, and contact the manufacturer if necessary.

　　Question: The mechanical combination lock won’t open.

 

　　Procedure: Open or change the combination of both doors strictly in accordance with the operating instructions for the mechanical combination lock.
