  The new smart firearm and ammunition cabinet is equipped with an integrated alcohol and air-pressure detection module. In unattended operation, the strength of the blown air used for alcohol testing ensures that the verification process is both authentic and effective. The fingerprint recognition system employs a capacitive sensor that leverages human body heat and the living characteristics of the skin to confirm the accuracy of the fingerprint pattern, thereby further enhancing identification precision. The smart cabinet features both a short infrared stock and a long infrared stock, which are aligned via a pair of infrared transceiver units. When no firearm is placed in the stock, the infrared receiver can normally detect the infrared signal emitted by the transmitter; however, when a firearm is inserted, the receiver fails to pick up the signal, causing a corresponding change in the electrical level and thus indicating whether the firearm is in or out of position. At the same time, the color of the indicator light changes: a steady green light signifies that the firearm is in place, while a steady red light indicates that it is out of place, making it easy for staff to determine whether a firearm is present inside the integrated smart cabinet.

  In the specific design of the smart firearm cabinet, the lock is an automatic motorized lock controlled by a controller. Staff can operate the door-opening button on the controller’s capacitive touch screen to activate the motor, thereby automatically opening the cabinet. The automatic motorized lock is equipped with a vibration sensor that is connected to the controller. When unauthorized individuals attempt to cut or strike the cabinet, the vibration sensor detects the intense vibrations and sends a level-change signal back to the controller, which then triggers an alarm.

Employing a state-of-the-art fingerprint biometric technology—the live-scan fingerprint system—ensures both the security and high efficiency of firearm access. In addition, the cabinet door is equipped with an emergency key slot; in the event of a power outage or system failure, authorized personnel can use the mechanical key to open the cabinet. The cabinet’s open or closed status is displayed on the controller’s capacitive touchscreen.
