As the drive to build “new-generation smart cities” accelerates, public security authorities have strengthened their collaboration with banks to better maintain social order and serve the daily needs of citizens, resulting in the launch of a new type of intelligent police-bank kiosk. This innovative, multifunctional self-service facility is designed to operate independently of any building. It comprises two distinct components: a public-security policing booth operated by the police and an ATM-based cash-deposit-and-withdrawal station provided by the bank. Through thoughtful design, the two seamlessly integrate into a single, unified structure. By deploying these kiosks at intersections, plazas, and other public spaces, authorities not only create a secure environment for financial transactions but also enhance the efficiency of local law enforcement in maintaining public order. Despite all this, many people may still be unclear about the kiosk’s specific functions. Today, we’ll take a closer look at what this versatile device can do.

　　 I. Providing Financial Self-Service Functions
　　

The ATM at the police-bank service kiosk offers self-service functions commonly used by the public, including cash deposits and withdrawals, fund transfers, interbank cash withdrawals and transfers, payment of public services, and financial information inquiries.

　　 II. Monitoring Function
　　Surveillance functions can be categorized into two types: internal surveillance within the bank kiosk and external surveillance. The former involves installing video surveillance equipment inside the kiosk, which, coupled with a monitoring and alarm system, enables comprehensive 24-hour surveillance to ensure the safety of users, particularly during nighttime cash withdrawals. The latter refers to external surveillance cameras that continuously monitor the public environment surrounding the bank kiosk, facilitating the early detection and prompt response by law enforcement in the event of sudden emergencies.

　　 III. Smoke Detection, Temperature Detection, and Water-Immersion Alarm Functions
　　The service booth at the police–bank kiosk is equipped with smoke detectors, heat detectors, and water-immersion alarm sensors. When the smoke concentration reaches the alarm threshold of the smoke detector, when the temperature in the equipment room exceeds 80°C, or when the water depth on the floor surpasses 5 millimeters, an alarm signal is triggered. This enables timely notification of the relevant authorities to prevent potential disasters and also helps deter unauthorized smoking inside the kiosk by some members of the public.
